NaNoWriMo Day #2

I got a very late start today; I had to see my dentist first thing this morning about some mystery pain in my face that kept me up all night.

What I thought might be a budding root canal turned out to be muscle strain, evidently from clenching my jaw too hard and too often over the last couple of weeks. Must have been that last contract negotiation. Or my last shopping trip with the high school kid.

For some reason being exhausted and frazzled doesn't make me a great writer, so I didn't push it when I got home. I wrote when I felt like writing, and rested when I didn't. I dislike writing like that, a few minutes at a time, but I actually racked up a pretty decent count for the day.
